AKY Cable supplies high temperature cables insulated with PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene / Teflon) for extreme temperature environments where conventional insulation cannot survive. Available with tinned, silver-plated or nickel-plated copper conductors with continuous temperature ratings from –80°C to +250°C. Widely specified for Australian defence, aerospace, industrial and scientific applications requiring uncompromising reliability in extreme conditions.

  • Standards: MIL-W-16878, UL 1213, UL 1332
  • Dielectric Strength: Excellent — PTFE is one of the best electrical insulators known
  • Chemical Resistance: Virtually inert — resistant to almost all chemicals and solvents
